The RA Colours The royal ambassador colours are blue, gold and white.  The blue stands for loyalty: 1. Loyalty to Christ the king 2. Loyalty to the church and her mission 3. Loyalty to the royal ambassadors organization and its beliefs. The gold stands for value or worth: 1. The worth of Christ to the boy as lord and master; and 2. The worth of the boy to Christ as his ambassador. The white stands for Purity: 1. Purity of body 2. Purity of mind 3. Purity of soul in the worship of one God and him alone.

The Order of Royal Ambassadors Royal Ambassadors is the name of a Baptist worldwide missionary organization for boys between the ages of 10 and 24 – an international organization found in many countries of the world, wherever there are Baptists. It is found on the continents of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe North America, and South America. The organization in Nigeria is Called Royal Ambassadors of Nigeria(RAN). In its mission education and ministry plan, RAN has a foundational Christian education plans for junior RA, boys between the ages 10 and 12; basic discipleship plans for intermediate RA, Boys from age 13 to 16 (or secondary school age); and solid mission education and action plans for senior RA, who are boys within the ages 17 and 24. World Cup 2026: Canada, US & Mexico joint bid wins right to host tournament

The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico after their joint bid beat Morocco's proposal to host it. The 'United 2026' bid was selected by Fifa member nations, winning 134 votes compared to 65 for Morocco. The 2026 tournament will be the biggest World Cup ever held - with 48 teams playing 80 matches over 34 days. "Football is the only victor. We are all united in football," US Soccer president Carlos Cordeiro said. "Thank you so, so much for this incredible honour. Thank you for entrusting us with this privilege." Of the 211 Fifa member nations, 200 cast a vote at the 68th Fifa Congress in Moscow on Wednesday, with the winning bid needing a majority of 104. Canada, Mexico, Morocco and the US were exempt, while Ghana was absent after the country's government said it had disbanded its football association amid allegations of "widespread" corruption. 'Extraordinary' sign language gorilla Koko dies in California

An "extraordinary" gorilla that mastered sign language has died. The Gorilla Foundation announced on Twitter that it was "sad to announce the passing of our beloved Koko". The foundation said the western lowland gorilla, who developed an "extraordinary mastery" of signing, died in her sleep aged 46. Koko featured in documentaries and appeared on the cover of National Geographic twice after starting to learn sign language when she was a year old. Animal psychologist Francine Patterson and Koko in 1972 She was born at San Francisco Zoo but three years later was moved to Stanford, where under the tutorship of Dr Francine Patterson and Dr Ronald Cohn she developed her skills. Koko was later joined in the project by a second lowland gorilla, Michael, and was eventually moved to the Santa Cruz mountains in California where they were joined by a third gorilla, Ndume.

Teen's 911 call details abuse of 'torture' parents at Turpin family home in California

A court in California has heard the 911 call made by a 17-year-old to tell police about the years of abuse she and her 12 siblings allegedly suffered at the hands of their parents. In the call the girl tells the dispatcher to "help my sisters" as she gives details of their squalid house with a suffocating stench, where they were shackled to beds and choked by their parents. The children's parents David and Louise Turpin have pleaded not guilty to torture, child abuse and other charges. Louise Turpin dabbed her eyes with a tissue as the recording was played during a preliminary hearing to decide if the couple should face trial. The girl is heard saying two younger sisters and a brother were chained to their beds and that she could not take it any longer. David Beckham has thrown his weight behind North America's bid to host the 2026 World Cup as the vote looms, saying the fans' passion for football would make the event "very special". The US-Canada-Mexico joint bid is battling against Morocco for the right to stage the tournament, with Fifa members picking the winner at a vote in Moscow on June 13. The RA Emblem The Royal Ambassador Emblem is a blue shield on a background of a white circle. It has a gold edge around the circle. The shield represents a soldier. In Ephesians 6:16, the Christian is instructed to “take the shield of faith.” The shield reminds the youth to have faith in God whom he will represent as an ambassador. The shield is divided into three parts: a torch, a wheel, and a crown. The torch is the symbol for junior royal ambassadors , the wheel represents the intermediate royal ambassadors, while the crown stands for the senior royal ambassadors.
